Dr. Salazar graduated from Universidad Libre, Facultad de Medicina Seccional in Cali, Columbia. After graduation, Dr. Salazar gained experience in the fields of emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general family practice. After four years of practice in his native country, Dr. Salazar moved to the United States to practice radiation oncology and medical oncology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, Florida. Presently with the Family Physicians Group, one of Central Florida's largest, private group practices, Dr Salazar currently works in Medicare risk adjustment and care management and does not practice clinical medicine. Serving as the final stage of approval for all medical content, Dr. Salazar reviews, edits and approves all medical information on the site for fact-based, unbiased accuracy.

Carl Jewett - Veteran Content Editor

A retired LCDR (Lieutenant Commander) in the U.S. Navy, Carl Jewett is the Executive Director of the Veterans Assistance Network, a company devoted to assisting veterans navigate through the often confusing VA benefits application process.
